Bridge and Highway Estimation Engineer

Job Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer to support estimations during the pre-bid stage, and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for projects designed in-house.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of highway and bridge engineering drawings and relevant codes, as well as prior experience in highway or bridge infrastructure projects.

  • Preliminary BoQ creation based on schematic or tender drawings
  • Tender document review and interpretation
  • Material rates and quantity database maintenance
  • Post-award quantity take-offs
  • BoQ preparation for client submissions and project billing

The selected candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

A degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required, along with 2–3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or infrastructure design-based quantity surveying.

Familiarity with IRC/IS codes and construction practices for bridges/highways is desirable, as is hands-on experience with Excel and knowledge of AutoCAD or any BoQ preparation software.

  • Conduct post-award quantity take-offs
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities for client submissions and project billing

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
  • 2–3 years of experience in infrastructure or infrastructure design-based quantity surveying
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
