Job Opportunity:

The role of Cognitive Search Engineer is crucial in designing and implementing AI-driven search solutions that unlock natural language insights from diverse data sets. This position requires expertise in Azure Cognitive Search and data engineering, along with a passion for crafting intuitive user experiences and driving business value.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop cognitive search solutions using Azure Cognitive Search and related AI services to provide seamless search capabilities.
  • Create data pipelines to ingest, index, and enrich data from various sources.
  • Enable users to interact with enterprise data through natural language query capabilities.
  • Integrate semantic search, embeddings, and generative AI techniques to gain advanced insights.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define use cases in finance, operations, and reporting.
  • Partner with data lake and ADF pipeline teams to ensure smooth integration.
  • Prioritize agile, iterative delivery to validate and scale solutions efficiently.
  • Mentor team members on AI search and NLP best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Azure Cognitive Search, Cognitive Services, and AI/ML frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration for search indexing.
  • Familiarity with embeddings, NLP, and vector search technologies.
  • Experience connecting search solutions to BI tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Deep understanding of data governance and enterprise data management.
