We are seeking a senior-level cybersecurity expert to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy that protects our digital assets from cyber threats.
Job Description
The Cybersecurity Lead will play a critical role in safeguarding our company's IT infrastructure and data by identifying potential vulnerabilities, implementing countermeasures, and monitoring systems for signs of unauthorized activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage existing security tools and identify open-source solutions to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.
- Develop and implement proactive defense mechanisms to mitigate potential threats before they occur.
- Design and execute incident response plans to ensure timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
- Act as the primary point of contact during significant security incidents, managing the development of incident response plans and generating detailed reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and propose key information security initiatives, plans, practices, and tools to drive business growth and risk reduction.
- Provide technical guidance on approved security projects, internal/external audits, application security assessments, and reviews to ensure compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, implementing effective communication channels across teams to ensure seamless information sharing.
- Detect and respond to cyber security threats, implementing remediation controls to minimize disruption.
- Perform regular GRC assessments on IT infrastructure and applications, developing mitigation plans to address identified risks.
- Conduct hardening reviews of endpoints, networks, and servers to ensure robust security posture.
- Manage security compliance for end points, networks, servers, databases, etc., ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong technical skills relevant to information security, including SIEM, IDAM, PIM/PAM, Breach Attack Simulation, and Microsegmentation.
- Excellent knowledge of complex network and endpoint security principles and concepts.
- Practical experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Hypervisors).
- Detailed experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, with a solid understanding of remediation strategies.
- Capacity to assist with root cause identification for incident management.
- Familiarity with information security industry standards and best practices, including SSAE16, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GLBA, FISMA, NIST, ISO27000, CobiT, ISF, OWASP, SANS.
- Proficient analytical, technical research, and detail-oriented skills.
- Availability to work on-call when required.
