Community Development Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing projects, ensuring alignment with project plans and fostering community involvement and ownership of project activities. They will also develop partnerships and advocacy efforts to drive impactful change.

  • Project Execution and Management (70%):
  • Implement projects in a timely manner and ensure they align with project plans.
  • Track and ensure quality delivery of detailed implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
  • Encourage and incorporate innovative approaches in project activities.
  • Address operational challenges promptly in coordination with the program coordinator.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
  • Foster community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
  • Align project activities with community aspirations and leverage their strengths to enhance ownership.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all project activities.
  • Develop Partnerships and Advocacy (30%):
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels.
  • Increase project visibility among government and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals.
  • Represent the project at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums.
  • Participate in advocacy efforts at district and state levels to drive impactful change.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Good understanding of social concepts and methods.
  • Fluency in English and local languages.
