Automation Specialist Job Description

This role involves implementing automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, and other test automation libraries to ensure high-quality software development.

  • We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester who can design and develop test automation projects using Maven and manage continuous integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI tools.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with Git and repositories like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket for source control, as well as strong analytical skills to debug complex issues and identify root causes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, Develop, and Maintain Test Automation Scripts: Create efficient and scalable test automation scripts using Java (11+), Selenium, and other test automation libraries to ensure seamless testing of software applications.
  2. Implement Test Automation for Web and REST API Testing: Use Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured to automate testing of web and REST API interfaces.
  3. Use Cucumber for BDD-style Test Automation: Leverage Cucumber for Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) style test automation to ensure clear and concise test cases.
  4. Build and Manage Test Automation Projects: Utilize Maven to build and manage test automation projects, ensuring they are well-structured and maintainable.
  5. Perform Test Execution in Parallel and Distributed Environments: Ensure efficient test execution in parallel and distributed environments to maximize coverage and reduce testing time.
  6. Configure and Manage Continuous Integration: Set up and manage continuous integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI tools to automate testing and deployment processes.
  7. Work with Git and Repositories: Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure seamless integration with Git and repositories like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket for source control.
  8. Analyze and Debug Complex Issues: Apply strong analytical skills to debug complex issues, identify root causes, and drive solutions to ensure high-quality software development.
  9. Ensure High-Quality Test Logging and Reporting: Implement clean coding principles and design patterns to ensure high-quality test logging and reporting.
  10. Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps Teams: Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless automation pipeline integration and maximum efficiency.
