About the Role:
Data Engineer - Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, building and maintaining large-scale data systems. This includes creating scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing and storage as well as developing ETL processes to transform and load data into data warehouses and data lakes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data integration, processing and storage, with knowledge of industry-standard tools and technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka and Airflow.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and maintain scalable data architectures and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.
2. Develop ETL processes to transform and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
3. Ensure data integrity, quality and security across all data systems.
4. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
5. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Expertise on data integration, processing and storage.
2. Knowledge of data integration tools like Apache Spark, Kafka and Airflow.
3. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala).
4. Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
