Scientific Storyteller Internship Opportunity

We are developing an impactful documentary film showcasing India's advancements in space science and technology, requiring innovative narrative techniques. The project explores the nation's progress in this field, demanding strong storytelling skills.

Role Overview:

We seek a creative individual who is passionate about filmmaking, research, and scientific communication. This role involves assisting the Director directly, contributing to script development, research, and content coordination throughout the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director in daily project activities during pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
  • Contribute to crafting compelling English-language scripts, treatments, and narrative structures.
  • Conduct background research on Space initiatives, history, and related topics to enrich the story.
  • Collaborate with the production team for scheduling, shot lists, and logistics planning.
  • Translate finalized English scripts into Hindi, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
  • Provide creative input for visuals, graphics, and storyboarding to enhance the cinematic experience.
  • Maintain alignment between the script and visual storytelling approach.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Film school student or recent graduate with a keen interest in scientific films.
  • Strong command of English writing (script, narrative, research synthesis).
  • Familiarity with documentary filmmaking and/or government/educational films is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to dynamic production needs.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
