We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Wizzgeeks private limited.

About the Role

This is a key opportunity for a skilled software engineer with expertise in legacy systems, particularly those utilizing COBOL and CICS.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing applications built using COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, and DB2 file structure.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of new features and updates with existing systems.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably with a focus on legacy systems.
  • Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, and DB2 file structure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with remote teams.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills

Prior experience with SIT, UAT, functional testing, conversion, migration, batch support, and Datawarehouse would be advantageous.
