Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Redis Database Administrator to join our team at Jio.

About the Role:

  • This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced database professional to work on high-pressure production environments using RedisDB technology.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, cluster management, replication, and backup & recovery.
  • They should be well-versed with related commands, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently.

About You:

  • You have a strong background in working with Unix, Linux servers and can effectively multi-task and context-switch between different activities and teams.
  • Your ability to organize and plan work independently, along with providing 24x7 support for critical production systems, makes you a great fit for this role.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience with RedisDB database, including clear understanding of RedisDB concepts and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting RedisDB database technology in high-pressure production environments.
  • Experience working with RedisDB clusters, including adding and removing cluster nodes, capacity planning, installation, upgrading, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Installed and configured RedisDB with Sentinel (High Availability).
  • Decommissioning and commissioning nodes on running clusters/existing clusters.
  • Understanding of RedisDB cluster management and well-versed with related commands.
  • Understanding of RedisDB replication/backup & recovery.
