Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Job Description:

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of UAV airframes and sub-systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Perform aerodynamic analysis and optimization of UAV configurations to improve performance.
• Design structural components and assemblies using advanced composite and lightweight materials to achieve optimal weight-to-strength ratios.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, utilizing software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion 360.
• Collaborate closely with electronics, propulsion, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and efficient communication.
• Conduct structural and thermal analysis (FEA, CFD) to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in UAV prototyping, assembly, ground testing, and flight trials to gather valuable feedback and insights.
• Document design processes, BOMs, and support regulatory compliance for airworthiness, maintaining accurate records and adhering to industry best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and design methodologies in UAV systems, applying knowledge to drive innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in UAV or aircraft design, with internship experience considered for junior roles.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural design principles.
• Experience with composite materials and UAV fabrication techniques, demonstrating hands-on skills.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes, showcasing adaptability and creativity.
• Hands-on experience with flight testing and UAV system integration is highly desirable, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Knowledge of FEA/CFD tools, such as ANSYS, XFOIL, Fluent, etc., is a significant asset, driving analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
