Senior Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Data Governance Specialist.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure data security and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data classification schemes, metadata management systems, and data quality initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data privacy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data privacy laws, and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, SOX).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data governance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in data classification schemes, metadata management systems, and data quality initiatives.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources, including RDBMS and cloud repositories.
  • Familiarity with data security tools, SIEM platforms, and incident management systems.
