Senior IT Governance Professional

A leading organization is seeking a skilled Senior IT Governance Professional to join their team. As an integral member of the IT Governance Implementation team, you will be responsible for carrying out the implementation of IT governance systems for customers related to policy compliance, security requirements governance, and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and participate in customer initiatives focused on reducing technology risk, improving governance, and enhancing compliance with policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Develop IT security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks and improve customer security positioning through process improvement, policy automation, and continuous evolution of capabilities.
  • Assess information security threats and their impact on customers' IT environments.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements, designing customers' information security posture, and meeting legal, regulatory, and scheme security requirements.
  • Collaborate with the senior team in delivering work streams for customers in compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, as well as incident management disciplines.
  • Perform internal and external information security risk and exception assessments, evaluating incidents, vulnerability management, scans, patching status, secure baselines, penetration test results, phishing, and social engineering tests and attacks.
  • Document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders, providing remediation guidance and preparing management reports to track remediation activities.
  • Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the company based on business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal candidates will hold a CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM qualification.
  • Proven ability to make sound, pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
