About the Role

We're seeking a talented Stripe Developer to lead the implementation, integration and ongoing management of our payment platform. This hybrid role combines engineering expertise with administrative ownership.

The ideal candidate has successfully delivered a full Stripe implementation and can act as the subject-matter expert for all payment-related systems and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and administer Stripe modules (Payments, Billing, Connect, Subscriptions) end-to-end.
  • Configure workflows for invoicing, recurring billing, chargebacks and refunds.
  • Manage Stripe accounts, user roles, permissions and integrations with other systems.
  • Evaluate compliance with PCI, GDPR, KYC and other regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Stripe Developer/Engineer, including leading at least one Stripe implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Stripe APIs, webhooks and modules.
  • Familiarity with test data creation, automation and CI/CD testing frameworks.
  • A thorough understanding of payment process flows, reconciliation and dispute management.
  • The ability to troubleshoot technical and business process issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in backend development (Node.js, Python or similar).
  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce or subscription-based models.
  • Familiarity with finance/accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite, QuickBooks) and data tools (SQL).
  • Exposure to compliance standards (PCI, GDPR, KYC).
