Senior Software Engineer

As a senior software engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex software systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Writing efficient and scalable code to address complex modules and handle interactions between multiple components.
  • Rapidly iterating to add new functionalities and solving complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions.
  • Producing architecture with clean interfaces that are efficient and scalable.
  • Participating and contributing to architectural discussions.
  • Performing design and code reviews.
  • Performing technical feasibility and trade-off studies and guiding others to perform these studies.
  • Solving production issues, investigating and providing solutions to minimize business impact due to outages.
  • Continuously improving performance metrics of modules you own.
  • Participating in the hiring process (referrals, interviews, attending recruiting events or writing blogs).
  • Onboarding and mentoring new team members, helping shape the culture of the team.
  • Collaborating effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results.

Requirements:

  • BS/BE/Tech in Computer Science or related streams.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Flask or FastAPI in backend/React.js on frontend.
  • Experience in product-based companies or startups.
  • Experience with database design, modeling, and implementation (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Proficient in writing efficient and scalable code.
  • Familiarity with Git, AWS, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Exposure to Spark and/or Big Data ecosystem is a huge plus.
