Lead Data Governance Specialist

This role involves utilizing expertise in data governance tools to implement and manage solutions for enterprise-wide data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop business glossaries, data dictionaries, and standards for data quality and validation.

  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data governance solutions.
  • Analyze data quality issues and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Design and implement data catalogs, metadata repositories, and data lineage tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Governance Implementation: Design, develop, and implement data governance solutions using various tools and technologies.
  2. Data Quality Management: Analyze data quality issues, develop strategies for improvement, and implement data validation rules.
  3. Metadata Management: Develop and maintain metadata repositories, data catalogs, and data lineage tracking systems.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop requirements, and communicate project progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and technology experts.
