Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for Data Science Products

Our organization is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and extend existing data science pipelines in AWS, focusing on infrastructure as code (cloudformation). This role requires expertise in MLOps best practices, foundational understanding of data science, and proficiency in cloud services.

  • Key responsibilities include maintaining and creating documentation on infrastructure usage and design, serving as the internal infrastructure expert, providing guidance to data scientists deploying models into the pipelines, researching new optimization opportunities based on the needs of specific data science products, and collaborating with data scientists to implement optimizations and improvements to specific projects.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience building cloud infrastructure as code, Expertise in MLOps best practices, Foundational understanding of data science and data science best practices, Proficiency in Python, Ability to build Docker images independently, Experience with AWS services (Sagemaker, ECR, S3, Lambda, Step Functions), and Familiarity with cloudformation scripts and GitHub or CodeCommit repositories.
