Job Description:

This position involves developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Guidewire functional and automation testing, as well as a strong understanding of type-script automation tools like Playwright or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium.

The role also requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as the candidate will be working closely with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.

Additionally, the candidate should have exposure to QA lifecycle tools like JIRA, or equivalent, and an understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards.

Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting is also desirable.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain in-sprint automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
  • Align test scripts with acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Execute automated tests, log defects with detailed reproduction steps, and support defect triage.
  • Create and manage test data and environment configurations for automation.
  • Identify and maintain reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing.
  • Contribute to the automation regression suite and maintain automation assets.
  • Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow automation best practices and participate in peer reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Support manual testing efforts when required, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in Guidewire functional and automation testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects.
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium.
  • Hands on experience in Programming based Test Automation toolset and should be part of Test Design for minimum of 2 Years.
  • Hands on Experience in working with Git Repository.
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging.
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as JIRA, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards.
  • Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge on CI / CD
  • Knowledge of API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured.
