Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

Job Description:

As a seasoned professional in data engineering, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies like Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise in GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our data infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing scalable and efficient data pipelines that meet business requirements.
  • Maintaining and optimizing existing data pipelines to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Developing and implementing data security and access controls using GCP's Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Cloud Security Command Center.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP services and their applications in data engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Beam or Apache Spark.
  • Familiarity with data security and access control principles.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
