Job Title: Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to oversee our operations team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy leading teams and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

About the Role:

  • Ensure timely delivery of consignments by coordinating with our facility team and workers.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) for plastic waste management, including aggregation, segregation, chipping, washing, quality assurance, and quality control.
  • Continuously improve SoPs to optimize performance based on Lean manufacturing principles and six sigma design process.
  • Develop individual performance-based models for workers to increase throughput and yield rates.
  • Increase plastic sourcing and supply from stakeholders by ensuring ethical sourcing and fair prices through close collaboration with our sourcing team.
  • Facilitate during audits, assessments, client visits, and HQ team visits.

Key Responsibilities (continued):

  • Maintain site hygiene and cleanliness at all times as per required standards.
  • Work closely with our Regional Operations Manager/Head of Operations to find new markets/solutions for the remaining stream.
  • Comply with deployment and sustaining sourcing charters from clients and certification bodies.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Capacity Building: Provide continuous capacity building and training to operation teams on operational efficiency, segregation, quality assurance, and quality control.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate documents and data for meeting compliance requirements related to workforce, health, safety, and environment.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritization of workload skills.
    • Adhere to our policies, SOPs, and protocols at all levels of the organization.
    • Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.
    • Willingsness to travel frequently across India and other places as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduation/Engineering background in chemical/plastics preferred.
  • Good understanding of PET Stream, Segregation, Chipping, Washing, and Extrusion processes.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in operations and managing people.
  • Managing informal sector workforce experience is essential.
  • Background in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
  • Experience in program/project management or field work is an added advantage.
