Technician Role

A career as a Cardiac Technician is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of healthcare.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting a range of tests and procedures using electronic equipment. This may include electrocardiogram (EKG), phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests.

  1. You will need to ensure that cardiology patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. This includes answering any questions they have about the tests and providing reassurance when needed.
  2. As a Cardiac Technician, you will record the results of cardiological tests and consult with the physician on duty to schedule any follow-up tests.
  3. You will assist physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures by monitoring patients' heart rates and alerting them to any readings outside normal ranges.
  4. Maintenance of cardiological equipment and supplies is also a key responsibility. This will involve daily cleanings and adjustments to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly.
  5. It will be your task to record supply inventory levels and restock the supply storeroom accordingly.
  6. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting problems with cardiological equipment and reporting any malfunctions to superiors.
  7. To stay up-to-date with cardiological developments, you will attend conferences and participate in research projects.
