Job Title: AI ML Data Science Consultant

Location: Pune / Bangalore, India

Duration: 6-12 months, Contract to hire

Notice Period: Immediate joiners (within a week)

Job Description:

Experience: Overall 9-15 years of experience; may have shifted from software to Data Science role later (relevant exp. in Data Science 4-5 years expected)

What you bring:

Knowledge / Experience

Design, build, and optimize machine learning models for various applications such as natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, etc.

Data preprocessing and feature engineering: Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into usable features for model training.

Good understanding of machine learning concepts around regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, etc.

Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve optimal results.

Understanding of General AI and its applications.

Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.

Skills

Proficiency in Python.

Good to have: Experience in additional programming languages (Good to have Java or C# or both).

Hands-on with frameworks and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, pandas, etc.

REST services using Flask or FastAPI

SQLAlchemy, Pydantic data modeling

Experience of working with at least one relational database.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI Studios.

Experience with MLOps

Solid software engineering skills (version control, testing, debugging).

Hands-on experience in solving practical problems using General AI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

Competencies

Fluent in English

Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.

Attention to detail – track record of authoring high-quality documentation.

Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.

Self-starter but team mindset – work autonomously and as part of a global team
