ML Model Operations Engineer

Our team is seeking an experienced ML Model Operations Engineer to join our ranks. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of machine learning models on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and a good understanding of machine learning concepts. Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure management is also essential.

As an ML Model Operations Engineer, you will work closely with data scientists to operationalize their models, making sure they are scalable, efficient, and reliable. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for model deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and monitor machine learning models on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
  • Scale machine learning models to meet business needs
  • Containerize and orchestrate workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Manage infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation
  • Implement model registries, feature stores, and observability using MLflow, Feast, Prometheus/Grafana
  • Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering and machine learning operations
  • Strong background in Python programming
  • Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure management (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data pipelines (Airflow, Spark, SQL)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)

Bonus: Experience with real-time ML serving, A/B testing, or media/recommender systems.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with subscription, media, or recommender systems.

Knowledge of experiment design & causal inference.

Exposure to real-time ML serving (KFServing, Seldon, Ray Serve).
