A career opportunity is available for a skilled professional to join our organization as an experienced Simulator Maintenance Engineer. This role involves ensuring the high standard, reliability, serviceability, and fidelity of Full Flight Simulators and other associated training devices.

About the Role

  • This position requires providing engineering support to ensure the high standard, reliability, serviceability, and fidelity of Full Flight Simulators and other associated training devices.
  • The job holder will be responsible for coordinating with the Simulator Technical Manager and supporting the technical team to ensure that maintenance staffing, training, resourcing, and processes are effectively planned and executed in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • This role involves overseeing and supporting the technical management of simulator configurations, updates, and modifications, ensuring alignment with internal quality standards and external regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the regulatory and company standards for all training devices, ensuring they remain in a state of readiness for training use.
  • Supporting the technical management of simulator configurations, updates, and modifications, ensuring alignment with internal quality standards and external regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinating among Simulator Engineers and Technicians to ensure timely and effective execution of: Preventive Maintenance (PM), Qualification Test Guides (QTGs), Safety Checks, Flyouts, and daily readiness.
  • Conducting pre-flight readiness checks, including interior simulator housekeeping, in accordance with regulatory procedures and OEM recommendations.
  • Planning and conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities on simulators and training devices, as per approved documentation and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintaining the hardware and software configuration integrity of devices to ensure performance and simulation fidelity. Proposing and implementing cost-effective solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues across training devices, including handling of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Executing and evaluating QTG runs, analyzing results, and ensuring timely maintenance actions based on findings.
  • Implementing software and hardware updates/upgrades to maintain device currency and performance.
  • Identifying, raising, and tracking spare part requirements. Ensuring efficient inventory management and timely return of defective parts.
  • Maintaining clear communication and coordination with Logistics and inventory teams, Training department and instructors, and Quality team for tracking Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Missing Malfunction Inoperative (MMI) Issues.
  • Maintaining accurate logs and maintenance databases for all work performed and parts used in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
