Job Description
The Costing Engineer will be responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for MEP projects. This includes analyzing cost data, optimizing project budgets, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather relevant cost data. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, utility systems, fire fighting systems, project management, and cost estimation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for project estimation, controlling and managing the entire tender process from preparation, submission & negotiation.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather relevant cost data for estimation purposes.
• Provide offer to client on time.
• Maintaining CRM for enquiries.
• Doing follow-up with GC/PMC/End Client for the Project.
• Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor and supplier quotes and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cost estimates, budgets, and cost-tracking records.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost estimation in HVAC or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques, Fire Fighting Systems, Utility Systems and Plumbing Services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
