We are seeking an accomplished Network Professional to join our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network infrastructure planning, deployment and management. They should have experience working with LANs and be proficient in patching schedules for facilities.

A key aspect of the role is the creation of diagrams for Network Operations, including inventory management. The successful candidate must also be able to understand and document back-out plans and identify points of no return.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deploy technology changes to support DC services.
  • Deploy LAN infrastructure to support end-user services requirements.
  • Patching schedules for facilities to cable network equipment.
  • Diagrams for Network Operations.
Implementation Planning
  • Document pre and post checks for change verification purposes.
  • Understand and document back-out plans, clearly identifying back-out points.
  • Identify points of no return.
Change Management
  • Support stability and uptime of essential services by planning changes with a documented best approach mindset.
  • Identify where changes can be completed with zero downtime to hosted services.
  • Plan and implement changes with a cost-effective resource strategy.
Documentation
  • Document network estate for Operation Support and change planning.
  • Maintain infrastructure database.
  • Complete network diagrams to a high standard.
Peer Review
  • Peer review and validation of technical deployment plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high standards of detail and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong level of Cisco Routing & Switching.
  • Experience in Exchange ULL COLO network setup.
  • Strong experience working in an Ultra Low Latency environment.
  • CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent technical level.
  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE.
  • Arista.
  • Market data experience.
  • Experience in Exchange/Client on-boarding.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Strong experience working in Financial Services.
  • Ability to handle numerous separate projects concurrently.
  • A very organized individual.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Analyze, review, and understand network topologies.
  • Coordinate multiple projects, change management, and governance efficiently.
  • Good understanding of networking principles.
  • Good documentation skills using MS Office suite and Visio.
  • Good customer-facing skills with the ability to keep customers informed at all times.
  • Good understanding of Load Balancing technologies (F5 preferred).
