Senior Android Developer Role Overview

This is a senior-level position for an experienced Android developer to join our product development team and participate in the entire software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-grade software and a deep understanding of Android development challenges and best practices.

Main Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a skilled professional who can collaborate with the team on all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, and documentation.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving defects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • The individual should be able to participate in discussions and decisions related to software architecture and design.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade software.
  • Strong knowledge of Java for Android and familiarity with mobile development challenges.
  • Proficient in the use of SCM tools like SVN, git, and maven, as well as an understanding of continuous integration.
  • A clear understanding of the difference between mobile product libraries, mobile applications, and client-specific extensions.
  • Understanding of distributed multi-tier infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Android API Level 14 and up.
  • Preferred: Understanding of code obfuscation & encryption techniques.
  • Preferred: Understanding of multimedia content delivery protocols like HLS and Progressive download.
