Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Information Security team as a Network Security Engineer. This exciting role offers an opportunity to launch your career in cybersecurity.
About the Role:
- This entry-level position involves acting as the first point of contact for security alerts and incidents, monitoring systems and escalating threats to senior engineers as needed.
- You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to help you grow within a dynamic and rapidly evolving security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring security tools and dashboards (SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls) for suspicious activity.
- Initial triage and analysis of security alerts, with escalation according to procedures.
- Documentation of incidents and maintenance of clear records in the ticketing system.
- Vulnerability scanning and assistance in patch management follow-ups.
- User awareness campaigns and phishing simulations.
- Support for compliance audits and documentation as needed.
- Maintenance of up-to-date knowledge of cyber threats and attack vectors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and concepts (antivirus, phishing, malware, ransomware, SIEM, etc.).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts or on-call rotation (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
