HVAC Design Engineer Job Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer to lead the design and engineering of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

The selected professional will be responsible for designing HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems, as well as performing heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Perform detailed thermal comfort analysis and psychrometric evaluations.
  • Select and size HVAC equipment based on project requirements, considering factors such as energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Develop ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Collaborate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering, preferably with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Carrier E-20.
  • Strong knowledge of thermal comfort, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
