Job Summary

The primary role of an Assistant Manager in the US TAX department is to review moderate to complex tax returns prepared by Associates and Advanced associates, ensuring exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a good level of understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns, continuously enhancing tax knowledge for associates and advanced associates through client work and staying up to date with tax developments.
  • Train and assist associates and advanced associates with their questions on a day-to-day basis, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles, applying them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and experience working on US business tax returns (1065/1120) with complex situations and special allocations, M3 adjustments like prepaid expenses and accruals.
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow, with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in US Corporate taxation, with good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472, and 1116.
