Job Overview

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing independent projects across various operational risk management areas. This includes internal control assessments, developing SOPs and policies, third-party risk management, incident management and reporting, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.

  • Key responsibilities include reviewing, verifying, and validating existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness, testing design, and identification of control weaknesses.
  • You will need to assess key aspects of each area under review, including assessment approach, underlying assumptions, and associated limitations.
  • Your role requires independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation and presentation, and the production of documentation strong enough to evidence a sound challenge to both internal and external parties.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of process risk and controls, compliance requirements, and the financial services industry, businesses, regulators, and their roles.

Required Expertise

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a minimum of 5-12 years of experience in operational risk management, with a strong background in incident management, third-party risks, business continuity planning, loss data, risk-based process reviews, internal controls, SOP, and policies.

  • A master's degree in a relevant field, such as CA, MBA, or a related program, is required.
  • Possession of certifications like Project Management, ORM, or related fields is preferable.

In addition, you should be familiar with GRC tools like MetricStream, SAP GRC, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
