Oracle Exadata Database Administrator Job Summary

The Oracle Exadata Database Administrator will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing critical Oracle RDBMS systems to ensure availability and consistent performance.

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills and cloud migration experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

  • Continuously engage with assigned client base and ensure operational readiness for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.
  • New customer transition, administration, and maintenance planning including provisioning, patching, backup and recovery of Oracle databases on OCI.
  • Ensure continuous communications in a consultative approach and lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions and monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting and collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support with hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems and experience with Oracle RAC, ASM and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience working with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) and working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux and Windows environments and public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
