Gynecology Registrar Role

The Gynecology Registrar position is a vital part of our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, where professionals play a crucial role in patient care management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Rounds: Participate in daily clinical rounds with senior consultants to oversee patient treatment plans, including reviewing and suggesting evidence-based corrections.
  • Health Status Counselling: Provide health status counselling to patients' relatives, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
  • Medicine Management: Order and administer medication as required, ensuring accurate documentation of all procedures undertaken.
  • Investigation and Result Interpretation: Conduct investigations, document results, and recommend further actions when necessary.
  • Discharge Summary: Audit and approve discharge summaries, collaborating with consultants to ensure timely approval and review.
  • Departmental Training: Actively participate in training nursing staff within the department, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Code Response: Respond promptly to code announcements, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
