Job Title: OpenShift Cluster Architect

Description:

We are seeking an experienced OpenShift cluster architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our containerized infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement highly available and scalable OpenShift clusters for various use cases.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  3. Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and deployments using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  4. Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices are followed and contribute to the development of IaC standards within the organization.
  5. Provide expert-level support for incidents and problems related to OpenShift, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  6. Monitor and optimize the performance of OCP clusters, implementing best practices for resource allocation and management.
  7. Implement security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards, performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, and familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
