Live Streaming and Video Development Opportunity

Drago Live is a live streaming, virtual gifting, and gaming app built with Flutter & Dart. We utilize ZEGOCLOUD UI Kit & SDK for live video, beauty filters, PK battles, audio rooms, and more.

As we scale rapidly, we need an experienced senior engineer who has in-depth knowledge of ZEGOCLOUD to oversee the integration and optimization of ZEGOCLOUD features in our Flutter application across Android and iOS platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Developing live streaming capabilities, including host/guest flows, co-hosting, PK battles, multi-guest, invite/signaling;">
  • Creating beauty/effects features, such as beauty filters, stickers/overlays, effect intensity controls, device-adaptive quality;">
  • Implementing real-time communication solutions, like 1:1 & group video/voice calls, audio rooms, spatial audio (if supported);">
  • Building chat and signaling functionality, including room chat, reactions, gifts, robust reconnect & state sync;">
  • Designing and developing room management tools, such as create/join/end, seat management, permissions, host tools;">
  • Moderation features, including mute/kick/ban, content safeguards, report flows, admin dashboards hooks;">
  • Virtual gifting, featuring gift animations, lucky gifts, combos, gift-led events & counters;">
  • Performance optimization, focusing on fps/bitrate tuning, thermal & energy optimization on iOS, crash-free stability;">
  • Platform plumbing, including push notifications, deep links/universal links, background modes (nice to have). ">

Requirements include:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 3 shipped Flutter apps with substantial ZEGOCLOUD UI Kit/SDK integration;">
  • A strong grasp of ZegoExpressEngine concepts: rooms, streams, tokens, signaling;">
  • Implementation of beauty filters, PK battles, audio rooms, stickers, and virtual gifting in production;">
  • Proven performance tuning experience: bitrate ladders, CPU/GPU tradeoffs, device gating, thermal handling (iOS);">
  • Solid iOS & Android platform chops: entitlements, background modes, permissions, ProGuard/obfuscation;">
  • CI/CD familiarity for Flutter (fastlane, code signing, Play/App Store basics).">

Additionally, desirable skills include:

  • Experience with Parse Server or similar BaaS, Firebase Messaging, Dynamic/Universal Links;">
  • Anti-abuse/mod tooling (rate limits, moderation queues);">
  • Analytics & A/B testing for engagement features;">

Hardware/Work setup includes:

  • MacBook required (for iOS builds/signing);">
  • iPhone preferred for on-device testing (Android device also preferred);">
  • Remote OK; strong async communication and fast iteration expected.">

Success metrics include:

  • < 300ms end-to-end latency for interactive features (where feasible);">
