As a gynecologist, you will be responsible for various tasks in the hospital. Your daily routine will include:

1. IPD and OT Management

  • Finish IPD and OT at the start of the day.
  • Start OPD sessions.

2. Patient Care

  • Consultation and counselling to all OPD patients.
  • Perform IUI and sonography procedures.
  • Give prescriptions and requisitions as necessary.

3. Rounds and Checks

  • Take an IPD round with assistant doctor IPD (RMO) & sisters in the morning and evening.
  • Ensure that patient files are completed.
  • Check daily orders written by assistant doctor, IPD.
  • Verify parameters and investigations done.
  • Monitor charts.
  • Check IPD and OT consents for newly admitted patients.

4. Operative Procedures

  • Operative procedures (OPU, ET, HLScopy).
  • Conduct scheduled operative procedures.
  • Ensure operative procedures start on time.
  • Ensure pre-op preparation is done by OT sister as per pre-op checklist.

5. Post-Operative Care

  • Washup, assist or conduct OT operations.
  • Ensure anesthesia notes are entered.
  • Write down OT notes.
  • Give post-op orders to assistant doctors.
  • Take post-op rounds immediately after shifting patients.
  • Ensure IPD sisters follow post-op orders.
  • Do post-op counseling to patient relatives.
  • Ensure software entries record post-op findings by sisters and assistant doctors.

6. Discharge and Documentation

  • Determine discharge and ask RMO to prepare discharge papers.
  • Ensure all IPD paper work is done by assistant doctor IPD and sister.
  • Verify documentation as per checklist and handover files to HR.

7. Emergency Situations

  • Attend all types of emergency situations.
  • In case of complications, take help from senior gynecologists on panel.

8. Monitoring and Control

  • Monitor and control all clinical staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree with specialization in gynecology.
  • Valid medical registration.
  • Experience in gynecological procedures and patient care.
