Design Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Design Manager to lead our design organization. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 20+ years of experience in mechanical/aeronautical engineering and will be responsible for ensuring the design organization meets all technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of different aerospace programs, as well as knowledge on both metallic and composites design. They will also have sound knowledge on fuselage, wing, empennage, control surfaces, etc., on structures, and be knowledgeable on aerospace methods and applicable procedures for respective applications.

The role requires strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate with quality assurance departments, WPLs, and PMOs to ensure process compliance and improve quality metrics. The successful candidate will also be proactive on technical initiatives and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure design organization meets all technical requirements
  • Lead and manage design teams to achieve project objectives
  • Develop and implement design strategies to meet business goals
  • Coordinate with quality assurance departments, WPLs, and PMOs to ensure process compliance and improve quality metrics
  • Proactively identify and implement technical initiatives and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aeronautical engineering
  • 20+ years of experience in mechanical/aeronautical engineering
  • Deep understanding of different aerospace programs
  • Knowledge on both metallic and composites design
  • Sound knowledge on fuselage, wing, empennage, control surfaces, etc., on structures
  • Knowledgeable on aerospace methods and applicable procedures for respective applications
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to coordinate with quality assurance departments, WPLs, and PMOs
