About the Role
  • Design and develop intuitive data visualization experiences that combine design, accessibility, and technology expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging learning experiences that make data accessible to all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build interactive, accessible data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG, aligned with WCAG & ARIA standards.
  • Ensure clean, semantic code across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Conduct thorough accessibility testing (automated tools like Axe, Wave, Lighthouse, plus manual testing).
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably with visualization tools.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.
  • Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with user research or usability testing for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with additional data visualization frameworks/libraries.
  • Contributions to open-source accessibility efforts or active involvement in related communities.
