Job Title: Data Information Architect

As a Data Information Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data models that support business operations. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and reviewing data models to ensure alignment with business requirements and industry standards.

  • Create and review data models as required under the implementation of the HSBC Data Management policy to ensure effective data governance.
  • Extend and maintain the Business Information Model (BIM) based on business, industry, and regulatory requirements to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Business Data Glossary by defining data held within the organization using the BIM.
  • Communicate and promote the use of the BIM across departments to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Maintain BIM alignment with financial industry standard data models to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience of data governance and other data management activities to ensure effective data governance.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards and regulations on data management, including DCAM, BCBS 239, etc., to ensure compliance.
  • Experience in managing the work of others to deliver against demands and ensure timely project completion.
  • Experience in managing data governance demands and delivery of data governance services to meet business needs.
  • Skilled at driving and executing high-volume processes, with a completer/finisher mindset to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Problem solver with ability to find practical solutions and prevent delays to minimize disruptions.
  • Influencing skills, able to gain support and buy-in from stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Strong communicator with excellent oral and written skills to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills to analyze and present data insights.
  • Proficiency with JIRA to manage project workflows and track progress.
  • Collibra and Informatica experience desirable to leverage existing tools and expertise.
