Job Title: Scientific Data Curator

The role involves curating and annotating biological datasets from various sources, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and clinical trials. This requires expertise in AI-assisted curation, API scraping, data modeling, and data schema creation & manipulation.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and automate the curation of large interaction datasets to reduce curator workload.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose conceptual & logical data models.
  • Standardize biological data using established ontologies and guidelines.

Effective communication is key to success in this role, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on biological data curation standards and providing clear updates to stakeholders on progress.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field (Master's preferred), with familiarity in bioinformatics tools and databases for data curation.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python is essential.
  • Proficiency in Git, basics of prompt engineering, API scraping & LLM for scientific curation is required.

While prior experience in curation is beneficial, hands-on experience with generative AI platforms and tools is highly valued.
