Technical Visionary Leader

We seek a visionary leader to spearhead the development of our multi-cloud networking platform as the ultimate technical authority and innovation catalyst.

This pivotal role defines the end-to-end software architecture, setting the technical vision for a scalable, resilient, and extensible product.

As the technical north star, you'll make critical design decisions and select core technologies shaping our platform's future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Ownership: Own the end-to-end architecture of the multi-cloud networking software platform, decomposing complex business requirements into a practical technical vision using modern architectural patterns.
  • Technology Strategy & Selection: Lead evaluation and selection of all core technologies, making authoritative decisions on programming languages, frameworks, databases, and more.
  • Cloud-Native Leadership: Drive design and implementation of our cloud-native foundation, defining best practices for Kubernetes, Service Mesh, and API Gateways.
  • Systems Design Excellence: Serve as subject matter expert on advanced distributed systems design, implementing and evangelizing best practices for caching strategies, high-availability patterns, and overall system resilience.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to senior engineers and team leads, elevating technical capabilities and leading by example.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture with a proven track record of designing and building large-scale distributed systems. They should possess deep expertise in systems programming languages like Go or Rust, with proficiency in Python. A strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, including Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and CQRS is also essential.

Preferred Qualifications include previous experience in a Principal Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, or Chief Architect role. A strong background in networking, security, or infrastructure software is also beneficial. Experience architecting solutions across multiple public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and significant contributions to relevant open-source projects are highly valued.
