Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing next-generation hardware architecture.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in recommending design solutions to maximize efficiency and performance in areas such as remote telematics control units, passive entry systems, and automotive connectivity systems.

You will work closely with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology roadmaps. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise for low-frequency, radio frequency, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, ultra-wideband, near-field communication, and connectivity modules.

A key requirement for this role is knowledge about ISO 26262 and cybersecurity implementations. You will support the HW Engineering group during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions, and ECU development/qualifications.

You will also support discussions between HW Engineering and Semiconductor groups for high-level telematics/connectivity modules.

To succeed in this position, you must understand domain requirements, project milestones, and technology relevance. The ability to evaluate or test next-gen modules/semiconductor part offerings from different suppliers and help recommend the best fit part for design is essential.

This is a collaborative role that requires working with a global team spread across different regions and time zones.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement next-generation hardware architecture
  • Recommend design solutions to maximize efficiency and performance
  • Work closely with silicon vendor partners to drive design features and technology roadmaps
  • Provide technical expertise for various technologies and modules
  • Support the HW Engineering group during advanced design phases
  • Schedule conversations between HW Engineering and Semiconductor groups

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design engineering
  • Expertise in low-frequency, radio frequency, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, ultra-wideband, near-field communication, and connectivity modules
  • Knowledge about ISO 26262 and cybersecurity implementations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
