Accounting Services Job

This role involves providing accounting services for clients, working as part of an integrated team to deliver business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and process client transactions in the relevant software on a regular basis.
  • Monitor client portals to ensure timely transaction processing.
  • Perform compilation procedures according to firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
  • Develop technical competency with GAAP and various accounting software systems used to provide accounting services.
  • Respond to client and associate requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate proactively with associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters.
  • Meet prescribed deadlines and adhere to established procedures.
  • Prepare correspondence related to client engagements as necessary.
  • Participate in core continuing professional education programs.
  • Develop familiarity with service offerings to identify additional client opportunities.
  • Engage in community activities to build positive relationships with community leaders and members.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred 2+ years of prior bookkeeping/accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in processing accounting transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience using accounting software packages such as QuickBooks is required.
