Job Title: Lead/Senior DevOps Engineer

LightFury Games is seeking an experienced Lead/Senior DevOps Engineer to support the development of our AAA games. As a key player in our team, you will design and maintain the infrastructure that powers our high-performance gaming platforms.

The Role:

You will collaborate closely with developers, testers, and IT teams to streamline deployment processes, ensure smooth operations, and maintain high availability across all environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines tailored for AAA game development.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to automate and optimize workflows.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises servers to ensure high availability and low downtime for game services.
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to maintain system health and performance.
  • Continuously optimize build processes, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure for speed and reliability.
  • Secure and manage development, testing, and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, particularly those affecting game development pipelines.
  • Mentor and lead a team of junior DevOps engineers, fostering growth and skill development.
  • Stay abreast of the latest DevOps tools and technologies, integrating best practices into game development infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with experience in the gaming industry preferred.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and version control systems (Git).
  • Understanding of network architecture, load balancing, and security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior team members.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience working in AAA game development or similar tech-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine or Unity build pipelines.
  • Understanding of multiplayer server architecture and backend services for games.
