SAP ABAP Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented SAP ABAP software engineer to join our team. As an SAP ABAP developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing custom applications using RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) within the SAP S/4HANA environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality custom applications using RAP.
  • Build and expose OData services for consumption in Fiori/UI5 front-end applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Perform end-to-end full-stack development using ABAP (backend) and SAP UI5/Fiori (frontend).
  • Implement clean, modular, and reusable OOABAP code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues related to custom ABAP and RAP-based applications.
  • Work on agile projects using DevOps practices and tools like ATC, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide technical documentation and conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Strong hands-on ABAP Core development (not just RAP): Experience in creating unmanaged and managed scenarios.
  • OOABAP (Object-Oriented ABAP): Deep understanding and application in enterprise-grade developments.
  • OData Services: Development and consumption, especially in context of RAP.
  • CDS Views: Analytical, transactional, and exposure views (annotations usage is key).
  • SAP Fiori/UI5: Integration with backend using OData and CDS annotations.
  • SQL Scripting in HANA: Strong skills in performance-optimized data processing.
  • Good understanding of BOPF (legacy systems) and transition to RAP (preferred).
