Job Overview:

Expert Cloud Architect Needed for Strategic Initiative.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cloud Architect to drive a strategic initiative forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, with 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering and 7+ years in presales roles, specifically in cloud & virtualization domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and propose cloud architectures using open-source cloud orchestrators, such as CloudStack, and automation technologies in complex multi-tenant environments.
  • Engage with customers and prospects to demonstrate solutions and communicate key differentiators.
  • Assist customers with initial product evaluations and testing to set the stage for successful implementation.
  • Connect technical requirements to business needs, ensuring project success.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs, highlighting product differentiators.
  • Presentation and proposal preparation for differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals.
  • Manage and deliver technical validation activities, including proof-of-concepts.
  • Build relationships with partners to identify opportunities and enable them to realize value.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experience with cloud solution implementations in enterprise environments.
  • Thorough understanding of cloud technologies and concepts, including leading private cloud platforms like VCloud, OpenStack, and CloudStack.
  • Knowledge of virtualization concepts, including leading hypervisors (ESXi/KVM).
  • Understanding of container technologies, especially Kubernetes.
  • Strong network and application security knowledge, including infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web server, and database security.
  • Knowledge of other enterprise products and solutions, such as storage, security, and compute solutions.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience preparing technical proposals, RFP responses, and BoQs.
  • Presentation skills and composure when interacting with technical and business customers or prospects.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment.
  • Proven experience managing proof-of-concept activities for customers in the cloud domain.
  • Accountability for projects and strategic initiatives, striving for standardization and simplification.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of experience.
