Energy Storage Expert Wanted

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Energy Storage Engineer. The successful candidate will have expertise in electrical design of battery-based energy storage systems, including PCS, BMS, EMS and SCADA designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems and staying up-to-date with the latest PCS, BMS, EMS and SCADA technologies.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations in the USA.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of technical documents and installations to determine their accuracy.
  • Staying current on fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relating them to battery parameters.
  • Preparing FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems. Conducting technical reviews of documents provided by vendors.
  • Managing bids and projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Performing electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures.
  • Attending training sessions on equipment as provided by the manufacturer and approved by manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in BESS engineering.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field. Candidates with Ph.D.s in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures and regulations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of electrical knowledge/training experience in BESS.
  • Excellent organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software like Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Strong client management, team management and process management skills.
  • Knowledge of other electrical and PV software is an added advantage.

Essential Skills Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, project management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills.
