Job Title: Fiber Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.

The role involves working on field deployment, testing, and ensuring high-quality connectivity for enterprise and ISP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in installing, splicing, terminating, and testing fiber optic cables.
  • Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality.
  • Support network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports.
  • Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related fields.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
  • Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks.
  • Exposure to ISP / Telecom / Infrastructure projects.

Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and teamwork abilities are essential for this role.

This position requires ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of fiber optic systems and technologies.
  • Proficiency in fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and other related tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
