Lead Geospatial Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Specialist to lead our geospatial projects and develop innovative GIS solutions. As a key member of our team, you will drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead complex geospatial projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • GIS Database Design: Design and implement advanced GIS databases and spatial analysis models to support organizational initiatives.
  • GIS Application Development: Develop and maintain GIS applications and tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
  • Collaboration and Team Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into GIS solutions that meet business needs. Manage and mentor junior GIS professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables and knowledge transfer.
  • Tech Expertise: Stay abreast of emerging GIS technologies and methodologies, recommending improvements to existing processes.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support for organization-wide GIS initiatives.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional GIS certification (e.g., GISP).
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in GIS applications and spatial analysis.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in GIS software, particularly ArcGIS and QGIS. Strong skills in spatial analysis, data modelling, and cartography.
  • Additional Qualifications: Expertise in remote sensing and image processing techniques, proficiency in database management using SQL, programming experience in Python, R, or other relevant languages, and demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership.
