Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at SportVot. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations, and providing support during audits.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles (Indian GAAP/IND-AS) and financial regulations, as well as experience with GST and TDS compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy by recording transactions and ensuring completeness of all accounting entries.
  • Process vendor invoices, prepare payment vouchers, track outstanding receivables, and ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations.
  • Verify and process employee reimbursements and maintain records of company expenses.
  • Support in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing schedules, gathering necessary documentation, and addressing auditor queries.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Indian GAAP/IND-AS) and financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with GST and TDS compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
