Senior Oracle DBA Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Oracle database landscape. This includes mission-critical systems supporting enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot multiple Oracle databases in production, development, and QA environments.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations, including platform and cross-version migrations.
  • Optimize database performance using advanced tuning techniques.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
  • Implement and test robust backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and/or third-party tools.
  • Automate administrative tasks and reporting using shell scripting, PL/SQL, or Python.
  • Collaborate with SAP Basis team to support SAP systems using Oracle, including performance tuning and backup coordination.
  • Ensure database compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and cloud database strategy.

For this role, we require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.

Key qualifications include strong hands-on expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN, solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and automation, and experience in both on-prem and cloud-based Oracle DB setups.

Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with SAP systems using Oracle (ECC, BW, PI, etc.)
